Posted by Web Guyz, 11-21-2003, 10:07 AM November 21, 2003 -- Web Guyz has officially said goodbye to the hosting industry, for now. On Friday, the company spearheaded by the 3 cousins from Rhode Island transferred their last web hosting customer off their servers.
"The size of our company was nothing close to what it used to be. I still remember back in the spring and summer of 2002 when we were on top of the world," said Web Guyz President and Co-Founder, Peter Baptista.
The company is by no means disappearing though. With all three executives pursuing other interests though, the Web Guyz hosting department has to be dissolved.
"I'm working as a sports agent now, Jim is in pharmacy school, and Jonathan is taking some time off after graduating college recently."
But as previously stated, the company is far from over. They recently launched a new web siteCells on the Net dot net offering customers some of todays hottest cell phones for todays hottest prices.
Continuing to help carry on the Web Guyz tradition is main stay Take a Trip Now! offering guaranteed lowest hotel rates along with competitive airfare, car rentals, and cruise vacations.
"We put a lot of resources behind Take a Trip. Everyone travels, everyone tries to find the best rates and we've given them the only travel web site they need to know. And with Cells on the Net dot net, we are continuing along the line of, sell what everyone needs. Almost all of the phones available are free and we only use the nation's top carriers for service. Again, people are looking to save money, you can't go wrong at Cells on the Net."
Their design department continues to operate and is currently developing a web site with Bevo Club, a prior customer.
"We're still designing and we're still hosting all our design customers." You can reach the Web Guyz design department by clicking here.
Web Guyz though isn't ruling out a return to hosting. "Some day, you may see Web Guyz again advertising our amazing sales and dealing with our amazing support staff but it won't be anytime soon."
And staying along the line of offering consumers what they need, Web Guyz is currently seeking business proposals from any and all parties. Please submit your proposals to Web Guyz.
Web Guyz thanks all of our hosting customers who helped make Web Guyz a household name and remember, there's always a home for you at Web Guyz.
