FDCServers.net Chicago Network Problem Now Worst
Posted by tuwarak, 11-22-2013, 05:30 PM |
This company used to be a solid hosting firm until around August this year when they started having ddos attack but unfortunately for them, they have no resources to combat the attack
For the past 2 or more months, they have frequent downtimes
Today alone, their network have been down for over 3 times.
If you want to verify this, go and check your server log.
I work 247 on the server so that is how I know this.
Thou FDC server is one of the cheapest hosting firm out there, the quality of their network right now is very bad.
I pay over 400 monthly for a mega server in their chicago network so I don't think that is cheap at all
And worst still FDC doesn't tell their customers the problem they are going through
If you are looking for a reliable hosting, please don't try FDC. |

What have they said about this? I'm at FDC Chicago and have monitoring on the server, haven't shown any downtime since the 12th (10 days). How long are the downtime periods for?
P.S. $400 is relative. $400 for a small server may be expensive, but if you have a 1gbps unmetered and powerful server for $400, then it is pretty cheap. |

I opened bunch of VPSes with them lately, had a little downtime in their Chicago facility in less than a month since opening my latest service... Yeah, it's worse than before, but my sentiment still goes back to "for the price..." :| And sincere hope that if people have built something socially significant: it can figure out a way to procure the quality of infrastructure it deserves
