its no wonder why your getting hacked, you must not know anything about security especially posting a pic with your whmcs acp url

Yes changing the default admin folder for WHMCS and any other software allowing it is a must. The basics of security.

Posted by KMyers, 08-30-2013, 11:57 AM
Wait... didn't this happen exactly 2 months ago to you?

Let me guess... You are a reseller and your invoice is due on the 30th of each month? (I dont buy the "Hack" excuse as suspending all accounts cannot fix anything)

Sounds like a symlink issue if its not a reseller thing

Posted by Coolraul, 08-30-2013, 05:28 PM
Seems like prior to that they had a flood that took out their server beginning of June.

Posted by rits, 08-30-2013, 05:28 PM
Wait what? lol Why would you possibly suspend all users because you're being hacked?

June 30 (suspended also):

Agreed. Change the url from admin to something else. And never show the url to your admin area.

That just makes it easier to get hacked.

I would like to now that as well, not heard of any myself.

I hope the OP has contacted eleven2 regarding them not being good with security.

While I won't go into the specifics of why this particular customer's accounts are suspended, it is not due to any type of security/hacking/abuse issue. Nor has their been any flooding of any of our datacenters or servers.

Yep didn't think for one minute that it was really an issue with you at all.

The OP really needs to except responsibility himself instead of trying to pass the blame to his provider.

Don't you just love liers, when customers make up excuses to not look bad. Haha. And op won't pay the price for managed services. Good luck to him.

Oh interesting I like to know more! So you suspend all account ? But your is suspend too :/ !?!?! Change billing admin folder name for security! And why showing your income on fb ?

You and your photogenic memory again

But the OP has some serious explaining to do because you just passed the blame to your provider and they had to openly disrepute that claim. I am not a lawyer but I would call that slander / defamation which could get you into more trouble than you already are

Posted by DesignWorks, 09-01-2013, 04:56 AM
From what I can make of this, you took the money, didn't pay your provider and then slander them by blaming the issue on there security and lying about non existent floods?

Sounds something like that

Same day at the end of every month, thus hacker must have vengeance.

That made me laugh haha.

I'd be worried if this hacker keeps doing it every month there has to be a crackable password somewhere or outdated software.

I bet the notorious hacker group known as the "Eleven2 Billing Department" was behind the attack. They likely used a little known exploit in WHM/cPanel called "Suspend a reseller account". They likely used some sort of a POST command to insert a cryptic message about non-payment into WHM to trigger the exploit.

Damn the Eleven2 Billing Department... They must be stopped before this happens in another month.

Haha mate that's classic. Shame we know it's false as we don't know if the op has been to other providers beforehand. Erm maybe they share the ways to exploit cPanel.

In stitches right now. I remember why I love reading these forums.

That being said I don't get how you can bring in 650 a month and not be able to pay for a reseller acount.

Lol, good one. Its a shame people went to their host to be honest, I wonder if anyone opened a dispute with them yet, I know I would.

I noticed that, I wonder who the lucky reseller is. Hopefully floods will be minimal

Looks like he is hosting with Hudson Valley Host now.

Posted by httpEasy, 10-17-2013, 04:38 PM
Despite all the hilarity I give them a hats off that they are still around :-) They started out in rough weather quite some time ago and in the meantime probably managed to survive more storms than others experience in a lifetime.

Posted by NorthHosts, 10-17-2013, 04:46 PM
Hats off to them for not paying their bills twice stranding customers and doing it again? Are you for real?

Posted by httpEasy, 10-17-2013, 05:09 PM
I haven't seen a single customer complain in this thread, otherwise I suggest you ask them your question and what they exactly expect for $6/yr.

So what you are saying is that because no one has complained, it makes it all OK

It's $12/yr, that does make a difference. For a simple website 1$/month is perfectly possible.

Depends what some people expect.

The ones who really matter are the host/OP's customers. Time will tell if any of them will complain here or elsewhere.

I can't prevent you from seeing it this way. All I can see here is some fellow hosts bashing a reseller who is struggling with a questionable business model and there is no reliable assessment of the damage done, except that some of the eager bashers can't put up with sarcasm.

As the saying goes, take a look at the offers section

Posted by NorthHosts, 10-18-2013, 04:13 AM
If you read the other threads you would understand the sarcasm, telling customers a datacentre got flooded when infact it was lack of bill payment is wrong whether his customers pay $6 or $60 . And then getting hacked by Morrocans which also deemed to be false.

so funny comment all

By the way if you face mass worpdpress defacing problem then i tell you that our server not secured it's a symlink issue. secure your site and tell your upstream provider to secure his server then you will ok and safe and also secure your WHMCS as it's have lot of bug
