Paypal issues.

Posted by ZKuJoe, 07-01-2013, 08:31 AM
This morning I noticed out of all of the orders that paid with Paypal I only received an e-mail for about half of them. When I login to manually confirm the payments sometimes it shows I've had no activity for the past 7 days and when I try to review a transaction based on an ID a client provided it throws an error. IPN stopped working over an hour ago though.

Anybody else experiencing these issues or is it a localized problem?

Have you tried contacting Paypal?

very strange indeed..

I would but I keep getting errors navigating their site. I would give them a call but it's still early here and I don't want to wake my family up over this.

I guess something wrong with PayPal IPN. Resell.biz does not applied my PayPal payments.

If anybody can provide me with a method of contacting them besides phone it would be greatly appreciated.

I can also confirm that IPN message was not delivered for 1 hour ago. I have contacted paypal support. They had the same problem with IPN in january 2013 - IPN were not delivered for 2-3 days. Search in google "paypal ipn issues january 2013".

Same issue... Started around 9am EST or so...

Having same issues here with IPN not being sent. Also I click on the details link of some transactions and it spits a page titled Sorry - your last action could not be completed.

Hope they sort it out soon - getting a few unhappy customers.

Here in Australia so can't ring them till first thing tomorrow morning. Hopefully sorted once I get up!

Cheers
Chris

Do you see the IPN attempt in your web server log and in your gateway log?
We had a problematic IPN yesterday that WHMCS refused to process due to some non-ascii characters in the client's name. But this should be fixable by selecting the proper character set in both WHMCS and the paypal IPN settings.

Ya can easily check it in paypal: My Account / History / IPN History. I see payments in Overview but IPN messages does not exist. It is the same issue as in January 2013.

This can apparently be related to an issue that they are facing since some time: https://www.paypal-notify.com/eventn...s?eventId=3647

Thanks for the quick reply but tech is not here till tomorrow - I am just humble billing - I will get them to look into that.

Like ZKuJoe we don't receive emails from all of the orders that paid with Paypal.

I can click "Datails" to see Transaction details without problems. IPN messages in history are missing. Waiting for PayPal to solve problem. We are located in Central Europe. It seems to by global problem of PayPal.

I see new payments are working but the ones made during the time period it wasn't working still remains an issue. Invoices remained "unpaid" so those aren't fixed.

We had an issue were they disabled the IPN completely.

Nobody is seeing this issue still? We're still seeing delayed IPNs.

We confirm that there was an issue with PayPal IPN yesterday. It did not send the verification callbacks for some successful payments and as a result, a few of the orders we received weren't activated automatically (we had to activate the accounts manually). However, today the problem seems to be resolved.

Noticed the same issues, And noticed them today, Specifically one order come in today and was sent out due to a bad return from PayPal.

Apparently they have rectified the issues.
