Posted by web-1, 04-19-2013, 06:07 PM It's been strange the last week access and via traceroute, it zips right over there but hits the first "hostnoc.net" routers and then it comes to a halt or slows down to a crawl.
It can do this for 30 minutes or more then it clears up and all is fine for 5 minutes then it happens again.
I also checked using network-tools.com, same sort of thing. Had a friend try from across the country and same traceroute results basically.
Not all the time, it was good for several days and started back up today either 15 minutes at a time or 30 minutes.
Do you think that sounds like a DDOS or just internal inside the building routing problems
Anyone else having problems?
Posted by cleangroove, 04-19-2013, 07:48 PM Hello neighbor? We are also in the hostnoc/BURST dallas datacenter. Our problem has been going on for about 4 hours sor far today. It took over 3 hours for the tech on duty (one of them only? Same guy as last week.) to respond that the ticket level was higher than normal (no kidding).
Note that this exact problem has happened to us over the past week or two. A week ago the tech said he basically found a problem with another VPS on the node and it's been resolved. Today we are still experiencing the same problem. It took over 3 hours of submitting sluggish or no response traceroutes while updating the ticket for the tech to respond. At times the connection comes back for a minute or two... then dies again. The latest from the tech is that the server responded to a ping (from inside the datacenter? hello?).
Yup... server connection for a few minutes... then down or sluggish to a point that it takes 5 minutes to load an html page (small graphics). I am new to BURST (40 days)... they advertise 24/7 monitoring... ticket response within minutes (or hours?)... yada yada. I'm not sure why when the tech pings it ... and gets a good response they forget about it even if it's on a ticket reopened and started a week ago? Same thing happened a week ago... down for awhile... submitted... at some point they pinged and got a good response and said it's fixed... then closed the ticket. I had to reopen right away. This is a recurring problem. Time to move again? Hope not... too much work!!! Thought I had a good one here? Burst in business since 1991! Thanks for letting me vent. Back to traceroute submissions!!! Hope to not lose too many clients this round.
