Hello,
It is too early to think they are gone, they are simply having a network outage as mentioned on their Twitter Feed - https://twitter.com/Eleven2 |

HI, we just wondered if any knows why all Eleven2.com servers are not assessable from the west coast.
Nameservers for www.eleven2.com:
ns1.180servers.com returned (SERVFAIL)

Thanks! |

too early to tell but you can send them a support ticket via email at support@eleven2.com
Hopefully they have mail on a different server.
They just tweeted this: eleven² @Eleven2
We are still working with the datacenter on this issue, we appreciate your patience and will continue to update you asap.

It looks like they are having an outage in one of their locations... |

Our datacenter is advising that they are receiving a massive (9 Gbps) DDoS attack which is causing this outage. We are keeping everyone posted via Facebook and Twitter, and will post any updates related to this outage on those pages.

They say there datacenter is in Dallas Texas on the twitter feed. |

Hi Stablehost, it looks much bigger than that as our servers are affected and at another location other than the NS we listed. That was just their main website. I wonder if a main fiber backbone got cut?
Regards. |

what does 'if main fiber backbone got cut' mean, is this just speculation or you have other information? |

Eleven2 UPDATE: Our datacenter has advised us that they are currently experiencing a massive inbound DDoS attack that has taken their entire network (not just us) down. They are working to mitigate the attack now. |

See in the comments as they respond to customers |

Another day another service outage with Eleven2. I've been on the brink of switching hosts for a few months... But all this downtime in January has me fed up with Eleven2. When it works it works. But when it's down - it's down hard and it's taken days to return to full reliable service. Add to that the horrible customer service/communication (i.e. generic responses just to close a ticket and never really resolving the issue). I've already moved 1 of my smaller/easier sites to another host. I don't plan on renewing my contract. |

UPDATE: All services are now fully restored. We appreciate everyone's patience and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. |

I've been with eleven2 for many years and have had good service and uptime, i monitor uptime via siteuptime website and it's been very good. I will hang in as a loyal customer. I'm sure they are doing all they can. |

Eleven2.com & servers are now online again! |
Posted by Nick H, 02-06-2013, 04:22 PM |
Now that everything is back online, I wanted to post a more detailed update.
Around 12:10 PM CST, we began receiving alerts from our monitoring system indicating that our entire Dallas, TX network was offline. This outage affected all of our Dallas servers, including those that house Eleven2.com and our phone system. Our website and phone system are hosted on an entirely separate network that is isolated from our customer network, which indicated to us that a very serious datacenter-level issue was occurring.
We immediately had a team put into action to investigate and resolve the issue. Our Customer Service team began making posts on Twitter and Facebook to keep our customers updated on the issue. These posts were kept continually updated throughout the entire outage until everything was back online.
Our initial contact with our datacenter indicated that they were receiving a 9 Gbps inbound DDoS attack. This attack made all websites unreachable. At this point, it is not clear who the target was, but we are continuing to investigate this matter further.
All services were confirmed restored around 2:00 PM CST. Updates were relayed to Twitter, Facebook, and Webhostingtalk.com.
We understand that uptime is vital to the nature of our business, and yours. While we have quality hardware and many anti-DDoS appliances in place, attacks of this magnitude are extremely difficult to mitigate. We sincerely apologize to all of our customers that were affected by this outage. |
