mydomain email forwarding (and url)

Posted by michielh, 01-26-2013, 04:41 AM
Has anybody else noticed issues with mydomain.com since 24 January.
1) my records have changed to non-private and renewal has gone to manual
2) url forwarding disappeared on A records
3) email forwarding to may domain no longer works but mx records are there. Should they be mx dot www dot domainname dot com or mx dot domainname dot com

appreciated Michiel

A friend of mine that had over 100 domains hosted with them just moved away due to the non-stop DNS related issues they keep having. His sites were down for almost a week when they moved to the new back end control panel last year and ever since the DNS records keep changing to random stuff.

that is exactly the issue I have. Since the change DNS keeps on going wrong. I know I'm missing lots of mails.
And their support is less than responsive. Either via mail or phone.

Ya I tried helping him with the issue and contacting mydomain.com support for him using his account and it would take days to hear back from them and all we would get is "Ticket closed due to inactivity". The inactivity was on mydomains end..

If support does not get back to you I would look at transferring to another provider. Search the Web Hosting Offers section; http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45

exactly what I am doing, transferring the problem domain away.
the other two will soon follow

do you know if I am entitled on a refund?

That would be between you and mydomain. Sorry!

it's sorted
tech support answered the phone within 2 minutes
seems they still had issues as part of their migration

still moving away though to a UK based one where I can get hold of people :-) in this case

Even I had the same problem. I called the support team and even i got the same reply the issues could be becz of their migration.
