same here, it seems they are down.
They didn't even send prior notice...this is not professionalism.

Yes. I had to update the DNS of some domains but portal is down. I did not receive any prior notification about this.

What did they say when you contacted support?

Entire LogicBoxes platform is down, not just resell.biz.

http://manage.resellerclub.com/reseller/
https://www.*************.com/servle...icationServlet

None is working.

on RC it says "Downtime Notice"

There is an emergency maintenance carried out on the OrderBox due to which you may face intermittent issues. This may take approximately around 2 hours

Hello All,
As a few of you have indicated there is an unscheduled emergency maintenance currently impacting all LogicBoxes registrars/resellers. I have asked for an update and I too, will post any information that I am provided. The link to forum post provided by Vinayak_Sharma aligns with the last personal update I received from LogicBoxes.

The NetEarth One guys are doing a nice job of posting updates on https://twitter.com/netearthone since they also use the LogicBoxes platform.

Now if only their account signup process was as easy breezy as resell.biz...

Hey All,
I did just receive an update from LogicBoxes, though the update didn't provide any details. The forum post provided early has been refreshed and it seems that the window has been extended.

Hey Bezazz,
You must be watching the portal like a hawk. You noticed before I did and the forum thread has not been updated as of yet. Lets keep our fingers crossed that things are now stable again.

No just luck.
Every 15-20 minutes I have been refreshing the page, as I was in the middle of something when it went down.

The OrderBox is currently out of emergency maintenance. Here is a summary of what happened:

At 10:49 GMT, our systems operator executed a untar command of a test postgres base backup on the live postgres data folder. This base backup was of a fresh postgres database and hence it overwrote some of the postgres system data tables. Due to this, postgres couldn’t locate our live database and related roles which are allowed to connect to the db and all web requests started failing. This affected all OrderBox related services (Control Panel/API/Whois etc) and domain forward orders.

Our monitoring caught this problem and we immediately shutdown the platform and stopped our replication processes to standby databases to ensure the consistency of data on the standby db. We then set out to inspect database consistency and switch to standby, if necessary.

This verification is a fairly lengthy process and our systems, software engineering, and management started verifying the integrity of each and every database and table to ensure all transactions that were applied on the primary database were also applied to the standby-db. This took more time as the primary database had to be bought up first by restoring the postgres system data files so that it can identify OrderBox related databases.

As of now, all data has been verified and tested. We will be reviewing this incident in more detail during the next product management meet and come up with items that need to be fixed permanently.

The immediate list of items that have been done are:

* Review access privileges and restricted to very senior individuals on the Systems side.
* Setting up a new slave and ensuring it catches up (in progress).

We deeply regret the inconvenience caused due to the outage. As mentioned, we will take all measures to ensure that the chances of such issues recurring are near zero. We will update this topic with future precautionary steps, once they have been finalized and executed.
