Posted by Imperum, 01-07-2013, 08:07 PM |
Hello,
i have a VPS with slhost and it's now about 1 week the server is down. They say they have some network problems and server migration. I think there is a bit too much time needed to have things up and running. Also support is versy slow on replay. Anyone else have currently problems wilt slhost? |

Hi,
YES SLHOST is going out of business!! horeeee!!!
Everything here that is said I have gone through. Last 3 weeks they kept me waiting to get everything running again on my VPS. For many of years I have been with them because they were so good but after a few years after the take-over everything went downhill. I have had it with them. I have send them an e-mail stating that 3 weeks out of order because they need to clean a node, they had migration problems, they had all kind of excuses that was really out of this world. All the help desk workers came by accept a few that in the end were helpful and the VPS was running again in 15 minutes. I am searching a very good host, that is reliable and helpfull when needed. I know it will cost more but what the heck, without trouble I love to pay that little more. Dont talk to me about SLHOST anymore. Here is the post I got from the billing department:
SLHost is going to cease all functions in a few months. Therefore, we do not recommend you to upgrade your server at this time.
As you have paid until June, 2013, we offer you to migrate to our sister company, Myhosting. They have a much more stable hardware infrastructure and they also have 24/7 phone and e-mail support.
If you decide to move to Myhosting, our technicians will perform the migration. But your IPs will change and you will have a downtime until the global nameservers propogate themselves, up to 24 hours.
If you decide to migrate to another hosting company, we will refund your paid period.
We are sorry for the inconveniences caused by the discontinuation of service.
Best regards,
Aykut |
