1and1 USA Down Too - Down last week also

I no longer use 1and1 for anything but domain registration but even now that is becoming a problem as I want to make NS changes but cannot.
1and1 has cheap registration - and free privacy but this is getting ridiculous. I imagine they are running some stupid cyber Monday sale that blew their servers.
If they can't handle the traffic what can they handle? Aren't they the largest provider in the world at this point?
Time for a new registrar with decent pricing and free whois privacy. |

I'm not surprised they got it up yesterday as it was Cyber Monday. What an embarrassment for them. It took them a few days last week - I couldn't make dns changes to my registered domains. They are still one of the cheapest registrars as they offer privacy service included in the price of the domains. I was paying for DNSmadeeasy but I think I'm going to point my NS to CloudFlare and use them for managing my DNS. Then I don't have to pay for it, nor worry about making changes at 1and1. |

They are one of the cheapest because they are a registrar like GoDaddy. They aren't charged allot unlike us. Shame they did go down though. Even if they are rubbish lol. |
