Anybody know what's going on with Deru / deru.net?

Anyone here use Deru (http://deru.net/) for hosting? We have some old clients hosted with them reporting issues, and they seem to be totally non-responsive (which is very unusual for them). Now I'm finding I can't seem to load any of the sites that were hosted with them. We moved away from Deru a long time ago, but I'm just trying to figure out what's going on since many of our legacy clients are hosted there.

I heard about this when one of Deru's competitors emailed me a solicitation based on Deru "missing in action." I have since sent an email to billing@deru, which bounced, and I cannot access my cPanel because there is a message that the license is not active.
At the moment, my site is still running, but that seems unlikely to continue.
It's disappointing. I've been with Deru for six years, had very few issues, and always got great customer service on the rare occasions I needed it. If they were going under, it seems like they could at least have sent out a quick email notice. |

From the indications it looks like they may be no longer in business but if it was so they should have emailed you about it. |

And to add to that, you have tested that they are not corrupt, right? |

<<snipped>>
I will say Deru's name resolvers and backup connection (Level 3, which is likely why some of you couldn't reach them) are now up again, although I do not know for how long. If I were you, and I hadn't already done it, I'd get busy backing up now, and I do mean right now.

You (all) may be very interested in reading the thread I started regarding deru.com on dslreports.com
I am unable to post a link here (yet), but you can search for deru.com and then look for the thread:
[ARIZONA] Any other (former) Deru.com users? |

I have a rack of equipment still at Deru (colo'd - owned by my co). I have been unable to get a hold of anyone at Deru since early December, just like everyone here (after 10+ years of patronage). The difference is...I own my equipment...and I need it for my new data center colo.
Anyone heard anything?
Anyone have any idea how I might go about getting my equipment? It seems like maybe at this point they might be subject to a criminal statute regarding possession of property that doesn't belong to them...
Thanks! |

Looks likes it not working, anyone have and new info? |

The only thing I heard is that Deru is dead. Nubis was offering half off their hosting plans for Deru customers left high and dry. |

I don't know what has happened to Deru, but the website will not load if you only use "deru.net". Now if you use "www.deru.net" it will load. The CNAME looks to not be working or something in the DNS settings for the main site. DERU use to be my DSL provider in the late 90's early 2000's in Denver. Good company and really can't understand where they have gone. I will also offer what I have to help out those client's left in the cold, just call, PM or email for assistance. |

www.deru.net does load, Livechat is offline, Try emailing info@deru.net (doesn't bounce back)
They do seem like they have an outdated website, and latest updates from 2005. |
