Hostdime down?

Anyone else with a server down over there? Noticing very sporadic packetloss/timeouts. Hostdime.com also seems to be down. Odd? |

Hello gigist,
We experienced a brief period of latency due to one of our major bandwidth providers dropping, but all packets have been rerouted over to another provider automatically. During the switchover, there may have been some packet loss, but at this time we are seeing all traffic as successfully rerouted. We are working with the bandwidth provider now to ensure the issue is resolved and measures are put in place to prevent such an issue recurring.

HostDime is top keyword when I search datacenter. Highly recommend, however a few minutes offline is not long. |

hostdime is a middle tier providor. People forget though that every host has downtime. And a few minutes is acceptable if it occurs not often.
I think its great WHT has this section on the site, however i think it should be used as a last resort. Only in the situations where you have tried the company support process without contact... |

My server with HostDime is offline also at this time and their live chat doesn´t work. |

What error do you get when you try our livechat? Did you file a ticket in https://core.hostdime.com/ yet? There is also a reboot option in core. |

Please note this thread is over 2 months old, and we have not have any known issues since then. The issue may have been relegated to your local connection or a route between you and our datacenter.

You do realize they are a fortune 500 company not a middle teir provider. |
