BassHost.com MIA?

Posted by Matt@HostSense, 08-03-2012, 10:32 PM
Hey folks,

I've had a VPS with BassHost for a while now, purely as a DNS server, and it's been down for at least a month or so.

I have got a new server from somewhere else to replace this one, however they are not responding to tickets or anything.

Has anyone had the same issues?

At this stage, i'm purely in a recovery mode, as I have a replacement system, but still...

Thanks folks,

Matt

I can confirm Bass Host is MIA for me too. My server died more than a month a go and I have submitted over 7 tickets including emailing the ceo direct and his linkedin. no response. I had a backup from two months before which i used to rebuild a new server else where. I do however need mailboxes and sql data from the server still which is not looking good from the responses i have gotten...0

My server is not pingable as there is a null route in place details below :
ping 173.208.137.45
PING 173.208.137.45 (173.208.137.45) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 63.141.245.74 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Prohibited
From 63.141.245.74 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Prohibited
From 63.141.245.74 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Prohibited

My guess is they were not able to pay the datacentre bill and they cut them off.

I would like to hear from anyone else this has happened to as I would like to get to the bottom of it.

-Chad
