Corelink Las Vegas Down

Posted by Rob T, 06-07-2012, 07:59 PM
Corelink Las Vegas has suffered a major power outage due to the explosion of a utility transformer which has apparently affected both A and B UPS systems as well as generator backup power due to issues with their ATS system caused by the explosion.

Our network providers there (who I'm guessing are on Corelink's DC power plant) are still up, but all of our AC powered gear there is completely down.

Let's hope they can come back online.

This is far from the first time their UPS/Generators have failed when there was a city power issue. ViaWest next door reported zero issues when I called to see about moving a client we manage at CoreLink. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone with the issues they have had over the past 3 years, glad their contract is just about up.

Is this where FiberHub is?

Hello,

Fiberhub operates a network PoP at Corelink, but our facility is completely separate. Corelink is located in downtown Las Vegas, Fiberhub is located near McCarran airport about 8 miles away.
