Posted by jessehardesty, 02-14-2012, 11:46 AM I've been with holdfire(I'm new so I can't post their URL) for many years now. I've used them for my personal websites along with 2 for where I work. We have 2 publications and each has it's own websites and we've used holdfire.net mainly cause I used to know the previous owner Jordan.
I've come to learn she has stepped down as owner and since then it's all went to ****. Almost once a week all of our stuff goes down, including their own website. For some reason we can no longer even access our account to send support tickets or even cancel our hosting. Everytime we log in, it tells us the login information is incorrect.
My manager has been on me to switch hosting companies cause we have advertisers that want to run with us but always seem to want to when they can't access our sites. I cannot contact the hosting company so I am unable to switch over since everything is domain locked and such, not to mention we paid a year in advance.
Does anyone know anything about then new owners? Does anyone know of a way to contact them or forcefully switch over my information? We can still access our website via FTP so I've been able to update it and such but can't access the databases(or at least I don't think I can via FTP).
I feel like this is a bad situation and I need some form of help rectifying it. I would greatly appreciate any and all help, as would my manager. I also do not recommend Holdfire, it is no longer a good service to use.
