TmzHosting.com down or hacked?
Posted by twalk, 02-01-2012, 02:57 PM |
Hello,
This might be rude because it is my first post, but I'm worying a bit. So please accept my apologies.
I have a few sites at tmzhosting.com.
Today, my sites say "account suspended", or I cannot connect.
TMZhosting.com is not responding.
I tried with a few web proxies, the main page is accessible, but when clicking the client area, the page says "Hacked By Tn_Scorpion"
Is it true, tmzhosting has been hacked again? Last time i lost all my sites because their backup was empty for me. I hope this time this is not the case. I have my backups but in case I need to restore, this will be my goodbye to tmzhosting.
I have used this service for a very long time now, but it degrades. It is down often and the support slow to answer. I even had tickets closed automatically because they did not respond.
I am sorry to say that because until recently tmzhosting was great and I was very happy to be hosted there. |

Hi!
All of our websites are up and running and none are hacked. I am not sure what you are seeing, make sure it's not a virus on your PC. I have checked all client areas and verified with our security team that everything is OK.
Please PM me your IP address so we can check the firewall to make sure you are not blocked. If you can't PM me shoot me an e-mail at daniel (-at-) tmzhosting dot com
If you would also like me to look at why your website was suspended, you can also send me your domain name. I would also like to look at any tickets that you are saying were not resolved, because this would be new to me. All tickets are answered within 30 minutes.
Send me the info and I will make sure everything gets resolved for you, but just so you know nothing was hacked.

I can confirm works from Oklahoma also virus or malware you probably have and are being redirected to another site. |

It is strange because other people from France say they cannot reach the site. I cannot open a tichet either.
Yes, this computer I use has been hacked apparently. with another one I can go to tmzhosting.com.
Bt my site is suspended. Should I open a ticket? |

Just tested it again, opening tickets works just fine. Send me the information that I asked for above, and we will get it resolved through e-mail.

Yes I saw this as well when I viewed their Client Area/WHMCS page about 20+ minutes ago. It seem to work fine now though. |

Not sure why. Triple checked the sites and with our Abuse & Security team and everything is OK on our side.
Still waiting for the details from the client, to get his original issues resolved.

Why deny it? If multiple people can confirm that your WHMCS has been hacked then there's really no point. |

Hi,
You can check my past history here on WHT. I would never deny something that was actually true. I am not sure what happened, but we are unable to see the error on our site, and all security checks have passed.
The OP e-mailed me and I will be getting his issues resolved.

Yes, all is on the way to be resolved. My ip was blocked, that's why I
could not see the website.
I want to add that I never had any problem at TMZhosting. They are very responsive and professionnal. The recent outages of my sites are due to traffic increasing and I plan to replace the actual shared hosting to a vps. So everything is going well after all... |

Not really busted, because there was really nothing there. When the OP started this thread, he was completely blocked from TMZHosting so he wasn't even looking at our website at the time.
Im not sure what other clients/users have seen, but this is not what we are seeing on our side.

How can 4 people see your defaced WHMCS page if it never happened? Were they all hallucinating? |

Never said they were. I just told everyone what I saw when viewing this thread. Received an email notification about this thread, viewed it, opened the client area and was not seeing what the client was seeing. I saw our normal client area and it was working fine.
I thought there might be an issue, so I asked our Abuse & Security team to check and everything was perfectly fine.
