Cirtex Milky down

Posted by stuckthrottle, 10-14-2011, 02:22 PM
I am long time customer and about 2 days ago their Milky server in which one of my clients websites is hosted on went down.

Much UNLIKE my previous experiences with them I've been having my knee jerked around. Cirtex tech support has assured me that it would be up within a few hours, 2 days ago. It is still down.

Luckily domain names are registered elsewhere and I was able to point mx directly to an alternate email provider. Otherwise I'm locked out of 'my' domain and email.

Pending how they handle the situation within the next couple of days, I'll be terminating services with them and transferring all my other clients to another host.

Very disappointed with CirtexHosting.com

We are aware of the situation and are working on it. The server first went down due to a kernal panic error. Currently FSCK is running on the server and as soon as it is complete the server will be back online. Please let me know your domain or email on account and I will ensure you are properly credited for the downtime you have had.

Thank you Michelle,
the domain is millercnc.com
Unfortunately the missed business emails and potential opportunities cannot be credited.

We have hosted with Cirtex for the last 3.5 years and have also had sporadic outages for the last few weeks. Our server is FUZZY, and support always assures us they are working on it, and everything will be resolved, etc.

Sadly, we're at 93.009% uptime for the month of October so far, and the domain was unavailable over periods of our most crucial time of the year, and our organization lost money and potential members as a direct result of these problems.

Just wanted to chime in that the problems do not seem to be limited to MILKY, and I truly hope they can get things turned around at Cirtex.

Please let me know your open ticket number or domain name so I can ensure you are properly credited for any downtime and look into the issue

Cirtex is terminally down...

They've been shaky to say the least in the last few weeks, but today they went down badly.

This morning I was reassured that "Fuzzy will be up an running soon", but now all their servers are down - including the one that hosts their website and support - so we are completely F..ED!!!

Thank you Cirtex - our customers are swearing at us, so we are saying "goooodbyeeee"!!

All of our servers are not down, nor is our main site or ticket system as I am logged into them currently.

Fuzzy and Milky have both had some issues in the last week and proper credits were given for any downtime. If you have service with us and have not gotten a credit yet please contact me at michelle@cirtexhosting.com

Thanks for jumping in here, Michelle. I see that everything is up now, and let's hope things stay stable from here on out.

I've been a customer of CirtexHosting for 1+ years. In the last few weeks milky keeps going down. One day it's up, 3 days it's down. Chat support always tells me that Cirtex Paul: Our senior techs are communicate our DC for get back to our server in online and that my websites will be up as soon as possible. Last week we suffered almost ONE week of downtime, then it was all fine for 2 days and the problems started again!

Now, do you think this is normal? We have lost a lot of clients/users and a lot of money. How do you allow this to happen? If the bloody things keep breaking, spend some money and replace them!

XCPD,

What you just said is pretty much my situation.

I'm extremely disappointed with Cirtex and will not only stop recommending them to clients and web designers but will now also be warning them about them.

All this down time and unstable server situation is unacceptable.

We are aware of the situation and working on it diligently. At this time we are doing a complete OS reinstall and restoring all backups. There has been no data loss. Please message me one of your ticket numbers or domain names and I will ensure you get proper credit

This is just insane. No access to email since the 21st, no sites restored after 3 weeks and no help from the support department other than telling me to wait and closing my tickets.

Compensation has been given, but it doesn't come anywhere close to the money and business lost.

If you can't fix the server Cirtex, then move the accounts to a new server (something which should have happened after 24hrs). Why can't this be done?

I am really starting to worry that the data has been lost now, either that or the problem is not being worked on and Cirtex hope the customers will just go away?

Yes we have been working on it continually since it went down. Almost sites have been restored and most are loading correctly. There are some that are loading our default Cirtex page so that index file just needs to be removed and the other sites will be working. All sites should be up and running within a few hours tops. If you will let me know your domain or past ticket number I will be happy to move yours to the front of the list otherwise we are checking every domain one by one on the server

At this time our head tech reports all sites are up and running, if you can not connect to your site please clear all cookies and cache or try on a different browser and if there is still an issue please contact me directly so I can look into your site alone.
