Wondering if anyone else is having any problems, I tried to call support but their 888 number only works from within the US (Im in Canada). I think I found another # but was only able to leave a message and am not sure if it went through?? |

Hi,
We have posted an update on our status blog. One of our servers in Atlanta suffered a hard drive failure. We are working on it now. Thanks. |

Yeah down here to for many hours. :/
Hopefully they can get the issue corrected soon.
qps: You should do a mailout to the affected customers on that server. If I didn't know you from here and with the errors that are on the QuickPacket site, some clients may find it hard to get into touch with you.
I know your team is likely busy dealing with the issue at hand, but some communication via other means would of been appreciated.
I mean where going on now at least 3+ hours.. |

This is silly. The drive had to be mailed out for data recovery? I'm guessing there weren't any backups at all? :/
I can't say I know what is happening behind the scenes, but I've emailed support and have not gotten a response in over 24 hours. A friend on the same server sent an email a few hours ago, we'll see how long that takes... |

We have been responding to e-mails as they have been sent in. Please send me a PM with your e-mail address and we'll contact you directly. |

Friend's email has been replied to, though it was stated that nothing will happen until billing is back up (our issue is not billing related). Blah. |

No backups.
At the end of the day backups we have to do ourselves. I'm in the same situation where I didn't back up my sites on this server. I have managed to get a few back online from old copies I had, but the main few which generated revenue daily from Adsense, I have to wait to see if the recovery can get the data back.
Support did mention to me "We are also going to be deploying a new backup strategy once we get everything back online using R1Soft Continuous Data Protection."
Need to get myself organised properly with backing up my own data. Something like this has given me that kick in the a$$, as income will be down quite considerably for me this month. |

It appears that nearly all data will be recoverable. We are running a file system check on the replacement drive now, and then will be copying the data over. Everything should be back online within a few hours. |

Are you's going to start to backup the server from now on? I know you's aren't obligated, but it will be a good thing.
Thanks for taking the effort in sending it off to a data recovery company. |
