Infinitie Networks down?
Posted by markdrandall, 09-21-2011, 06:23 AM |
Anybody else have a server with http://www.infinitie.net?
Seems our server has been up and down for the last couple of hours and their own website doesn't appear to work either... |

Have you tried calling them about the situation? |

I didn't have their phone number in all honesty to hand, but now the site has reappeared I will take a note of it... |

We have had a reply from infinitie for anyone that wants to know:
Quote:
The root cause of this issue was due to Global Crossing flooding both our Edge routers with BGP Routing updates that were so large they exceeded the memory in our 6509 Cisco's which caused them to hang. This was resolved by shutting down our BGP session with Global Crossing.
We are still redundant at this time running on Cogent, Hurricane Electric and Level 3 and we expect to work with GBLX on the issue of their BGP updates and restart the BGP session with GBLX when it is confirmed safe to do so.
