KnownHost vz66-tx server down

Arclight - I'm not quite sure what are you referring to, can you please clarify? The sever is up and runnign as of two hours ago and there are 3 pages of updates along with the final "booting up" one. Is there any chance that you're looking at some cached version of the forum thread?

Paul,
Some databases on the server didn't come back. (mine never)
Errors everywhere, but they were successfully restored from backups.
I'm still a little unsure as to what exactly transpired to cause the corruption given the level of redundancy supposedly in place.
Would you be able to provide an explanation? |

geekie246 - as per the information I posted on our forums vz66-tx reported kernel panic and had to be power cycled. The file system was recognized as filesystem with errors and filesystem check was enforced which discovered and fixed number of errors. When such things happens some data could be lost. Again, as per the information posted on our forums, few hundred errors were reported by fsck and I mentioned that we can help restoring the whole VPS or missing/damaged parts if needed:

I'm sorry but I'm not really sure what better explanation are you looking for... If you have any questions please feel free to drop me an email, send me a PM on our forums, ask for your ticket to be escalated to me and I'll be happy to clarify anything that requires clarification.
Regards,
Paul |
