CU Family,

We regret to announce that Club Uptime, LLC will be closing its doors,
effective immediately.

With growing costs and a substantial number of nonpaying clients, we
have been unable to continue our business with SoftLayer.

As a result, we will no longer be accepting new signups or renewals
for our products or services.

We will update this page when backups are able to be made available to clients as we have them transferring to external backup servers right now.

Refunds will be issued to all customers who have already paid their
invoice for the current month, and will be prorated if paid quarterly,
semi-annually or annually .
Please be patient as this process may take up to 4-6 weeks to complete.

BroHoster Customers please refer to http://www.brohoster.com for
applicable instructions.

We've appreciated your business. Thank you.

What the hell!!!

About a month ago they took my payment of about £48 for half a years subscription, and I am still on OpenVZ, contacted support and they haven't replied since, now my servers poofed!

I really really need a backup!

...and my money back!?

Have to say I saw this coming from a few months ago, when the owner was posting a few threads that raised alarm bells about their relationship with softlayer. Then there was the minecraft/brohoster thread.
Hope you guys get your backups.

Can you find the link or give a summary of what they said? I am interested in hearing about it.

They were having serious issues getting new IP space from SL. It's quite possible that they weren't getting approved for IP space due to previous bills due to SL.

At one point he was looking to migrate everything (around 50 nodes worth) to another datacenter and was looking for crazy low pricing to try to pull it off.

There was then a positive review posted about SL, I'm not sure if it was before or after the outburst by them.

Backups are now avaible for 72 hours. After you get your backups you can file a complaint for your money.
