Anyone else having an issue with Enom?

Posted by compITent, 07-20-2011, 11:58 PM
We haven't made any changes to our NS with Enom and the settings in our account reflect that but we've recently been pulling our hair out troubleshooting DNS issues.

We found that the NS for our domain aren't what's showing in Enom so any DNS for our domain including if others are using our NS isn't working (0.0.0.0)

Everything seems to work fine on our side. Did you contact them about the issue?

Two days ago, they changed many of our domains nameservers to "custom", resulting domains unable to resolve.
We had to manually change nameservers back to "default".
Their support provides no explaination.

Anyone care to help for a minute?

I'm getting ZERO help from either Enom or Parallels claiming because it works for them there's no issue despite showing them 3 screenshots of recent tests, several times.

Can someone do a nslookup and find the returning NS of pclhs.net?
I've done it on mxtoolbox, network-tools.com, kloth.net, and nslookup against 4.2.2.4 and 8.8.8.8

All are failing to return an A record for pclhs.net and all return
kip.ns.cloudflare.com.pclhs.net
anna.ns.cloudflare.com.pclhs.net

as our NS.

Our entries in Enom are showing ns2.pclhs.net and ns5.pclhs.net and show when I do a whois.

I've tried changing our NS several times to no avail. right now my only option is to transfer to a new registrar to try and fix.

There's no point changing registrar as your registry entries appear correct - It's the entries on your server that seem messed up.

Look at: http://www.intodns.com/pclhs.net

NS records got from your nameservers listed at the parent NS are:

anna.ns.cloudflare.com.pclhs.net [] (NO GLUE) [TTL=14400]
kip.ns.cloudflare.com.pclhs.net [] (NO GLUE) [TTL=14400]
Nothing to do with Enom and all to do with your own setup.
