Some of Aquarius Storage VPSs Down

Posted by DJAB Networks Josh, 06-06-2011, 09:55 PM
One of our VPS servers (vps02) is currently down due to a potential hard drive failure. Our website and support pages are both down.
There will be no lost data as everything is currently recovering.
We expect these VPSs to be online within a couple hours. Sorry for the downtime.
Please follow us on twitter for the latest updates regarding this issue.
Email support@aquariusstorage.com if you need support on your product or service until the support site is back online.

Any updates? We've been down for 24 hours at this point.

We are currently taking extra steps to prevent data loss hence the reason this is taking a little longer. We are transferring the server to a new piece of hardware in a new data center. We are hoping these will be up in the next couple hours.

Things are looking very promising and we apologize for the outage, but it looks like we will be able to recover from this without data loss and with stronger security and backup solutions.
We understand this was a major inconvenience to our clients and we sincerely apologize. We will be providing credit towards customer invoices as soon as our billing system is restored, and we have moved our website to it's own server to prevent e-mail/support system outages in the future.
We thank our customers for being loyal to us in this time and are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

The migration is still in progress. We are making sure we do this the right way to prevent data loss. The new hardware is going to feature redundancy on every level to prevent downtime like this from happening again.

We have been tweeting the process throughout the migration letting people know it will be online in the next 12-18 hours.
We are very sorry about the downtime and we are offering all our VPS customers on vps02 50% off their next bill.

All of our VPSs are back online. IPs have been reassigned and you can see the new IPs in the support portal. Please update all namesevrers to match the new IPs
