Probably a bit late, but responding fine for me. |

Traceroutes to two IP addresses doesn't mean a whole company is down..... |

BurstNET are not "down again" (all our stuff is fine, BurstNET's web site etc), but those 2 IPs aren't reachable. Tried from London (fails on pccwbtn), Denver (fails on Cogentco) and even from a VPS at Scranton.
That's a wierd one |

So I don't understand how you can say they're not down?
I'm not saying they're 100% out, their site works, but I don't believe I'm inaccurate saying they're down when those ip's are my two gateways.
Its still an outage.
Also note, ticket opened with them 3 hours ago and still not responded to or resolved. |

If those are indeed the gateways, it sounds like a partial outage only... that being said best of luck hopefully they get back to you in short order. |

AmyJo, I'm not trying to be pedantic or something, but starting a thread titled "BurstNet down again" does kinda suggest that they're completely down - Something that's patently inaccurate when I can just post:

Your thread title says exactly the opposite, so instead of just responding to your request for some traces I completely wasted my time going checking our stuff at Scranton, Manchester, Miami and Los Angeles, all of which is up.
OK, your specific 2 gateway IPs are not responding (probably not being announced by the look of it) but 2 IPs down out of the hundreds of thousands that BurstNET have doesn't mean their entire network is down.
Just making the point, that's all |

I've personally been hosted on a "BurstNET" Dedicated System and what can I say, it was utter CRAP. It was unresponsive, had very bad loading times, and was not worth the coinage.
I suppose nothing has changed since then. |

We are/were NOT down.
As others have stated, one or two servers down does NOT mean "BurstNET is down"...
If your gateways are down that could mean your service(s) are down, suspended, etc...the way we handle suspensions often shuts off the whole port including its' gateway IPs.
Other IPs in the same /24 were responding just fine when you made this post.
Sounds to me like a simple reboot ticket would have sufficed, not this exaggerated, false, and useless WHT post.

7000+ posts and you can't remember that comments from EX-customers and "reviews" are not appropriate in the outages section?? |

Probably from years ago, prior to our network upgrades and all our other changes...otherwise I'm sure he is not telling the whole story.

What? That he's a direct competitor of yours hosting in a datacenter a short drive from BurstNET's? No, surely that can't be his motivation for his post??? <<GASP>> |

Dunno...can't find the guy in our client base anywhere with the information available here.
Who knows his motivation...but that is as likely as anything else...

my vps is working fine . i belive they have a lot of costumers for that t hey may replay very slow or late but they do replay . so who wants get replied and problems solved in 2 menuts go and pay more for that why you want a boudget provider and you want faster replies. that's my own view and dont blame them for anything just know something you want better services pay more or i am wrong please tell me |

My servers are working normally. It seems only few nodes were affected because of route failure. |
