TailorMadeServers Package Loss

Posted by fancypocket, 04-09-2011, 09:09 AM
Does anyone else experience package loss on your server at TMS?

Posted by Patrick, 04-09-2011, 09:21 AM
Dead in the water. Looks like a DDOS attack:

14 292 ms 287 ms 524 ms COLO4-DALLA.edge3.Dallas1.Level3.net [8.9.232.74]
15 * * * Request timed out.

Hop #15 would be the TMS equipment and hop #16 would be your server. It's safe to assume either Colo4 or TMS are already on the ball trying to get everything back up.

It is Colo4; they have said it is a 20Gbit DDOS.

Posted by forumtalk, 04-09-2011, 09:27 AM
it seems down from here

Posted by net, 04-09-2011, 09:33 AM
This keeps on happening with colo4 recently. I wonder why...

Posted by bostongio, 04-09-2011, 09:33 AM
These are happening with increasing frequency and the downtimes are stretching out longer and longer as well. No way for Colo4 to run a business if you can't protect your customers from a DDOS in 2011.

Our first real outage in many, many months with TMS.... I don't think they have been affected by the other Colo4 outages.

Posted by bostongio, 04-09-2011, 09:42 AM
They have, trust me. And they are working on long-term solutions, but still.

From what I can see now, it is the whole colo4.

I can't even get in to their site.

Posted by forumtalk, 04-09-2011, 09:52 AM

Posted by spdfox, 04-09-2011, 09:53 AM

Posted by dexx, 04-09-2011, 09:54 AM
yes its official that they have 20Gbs DDOS right now.

Wonder how is that they cant defend their network on such attack. and where 20Gbs came from...

Yes, we are a direct customer of colo4 and have a ticket in with them for updates.

could you please point one of them?

All back up now, and colo4 sent a notice that issue should be resolved.

Posted by bostongio, 04-09-2011, 10:38 AM
Colo4 just installed a new Juniper border router, didn't they? I was hoping that would help their DDOS issues, which seem to be increasing in frequency.

They're fine, this looks like a problem with your ISP.

Any ISP that has 500ms to an exit node shouldn't be allowed to be in business, period. -_-'
