Staminus down time
Posted by wired420, 02-20-2011, 07:43 PM |
I've not been able to reach any servers at Staminus including their own website in 43 minutes now. They haven't said they even know about it on their Twitter, or Facebook pages. Their main support ticket system is located on the same server as their main website. So no way to contact them.
They really need to move the client panel offsite.
Anyways. For those who were wondering and searching google. Yes Staminus is unreachable at the moment. Has been for 43 mins. |

We experienced a partial network outage that lasted roughly 1 hour. This impacted about 30% of our users. The cause of this was traced to a backhaul problem with our new 10 Gbps long haul connectivity between our POP and Irvine Data Center. The issue has been resolved and an investigation will be conducted to prevent recurrence.
For further information, please open a ticket in our help desk at https://clients.staminus.net. |

As of 30 seconds or so ago I was able to again reach Staminus' website and client panel and my server as well. All seems to be working normal again now. |

As of now 4:15pm EST (GMT -5) they are down yet again
Of course no one probably cares, because they probably don't have any customers left after the quality of service for the past year!

They just moved to their own data center Monday. I'm hoping things will get better now. If not I'll be gone too. |

I thought the data center move was a month or two ago?
It was up for the past hour, but they're down again now. |

We had a multi-stage migration because of the numerous locations we were operating. We are now operating out of one location. The final migration will be tomorrow! |

Ah that must have happened just a few minutes ago, when it was down for about 10 minutes.
Hopefully the stability issues are in the past now. |

Well this is a new one.
C:\Users\xxxxxx>tracert staminus.net
Unable to resolve target system name staminus.net.
Staminus has dropped completely off the grid this time.
Been like this for about the last three minutes.
Can't contact my server, their website, or the client/support panel. Looks like the name server for Staminus decided to go on vacation this time as well. |

I was affected too and now it's back up. |

It's down again. So far about 50 minutes.
The tech support system and their own sites also go down every time they're down, so they aren't really of much use.
I think it's time to move on |

There were some isolated incidents impacting only two cabinets. The impacts were resolved, and the situation resulting in the impact has been remedied to prevent its recurrence.
Please open a ticket in our help desk if you have any other questions, comments, or concerns. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you. |

It's down again now (for the fifth time in the past hour), so I'll submit a ticket. Usually your website and ticket system go down together, when ours does. Today yours is up. |
