Servedome Issues?
Posted by RichPixel, 01-21-2011, 02:16 PM |
Is there anyone with servedome that has Germany hosting/vps, anyone having issues?
My vps went offline around 19 - 20 hours ago (or that's when I noticed it) so i submitted an emergency reboot ticket as I couldn't access the vps control panel to reboot, I am still waiting for a response.
Anyone else having issues? |

Have you called their number? I don't see anything in the outage forum or anything on their website. Do you have a backup in case something did happen?
Good Luck in getting this resolved!

Since nobody from ServeDome doesn't want to update this, I will tell you what I was told by someone who allegedly knows what's going on.
1) All servers have been wiped.
2) They never had RAID-10 so no backups.
3) The owner is running away.
Unfortunately, it's 99% true. If you have a backup I suggest you moving as you are just loosing your time by waiting for him to reply. I know it's not what you wanted to hear but it's better than keeping you in the dark.
Thanks
Kind Regards |

Right, RAID-10 is not a backup solution, wiped server means no data inside the server while RAID setups can help preventing data loss during a hard drive failure disaster!
Above said, if that's the exact quote from your source, I seriously recommend you reconsider considering him/her as a source
To OP, never lose hope nor waste your time, having backups is a basic requirement of a hosting solution and if you have done so, you are good to move on and then waiting to see what will happen with you previous provider.

Can you prove this is not true?
Why is servedome ignoring customers tickets?
Why have they not emailed a reason as to the downtime?
Not only are vps's down but so is the solusvm, Solus has said there is no exploit or issue with their software, you can drop them a ticket if you need confirmation. |
