Joes Datacenter down again?

Posted by chasebug, 12-10-2010, 12:56 AM
My server at Joes is very slow or unreachable. Same thing with their joesdatacenter.com website. Just-ping.com shows 70% packet loss from all over the world.

I am showing 0% packet loss from Stuart, FL and Phoenix, Arizona. Both locations are also getting good pings.

Packet loss is massive. I believe their previous outage as power related. The packet loss is on joesdatacenter demarc side. Perhaps it's a ddos.

Looks like ddos to me. their global bandwidth is 100% he.net and it starts lagging at joes router. on the other hand their US bandwidth is cogent and is stable but pings went up from 40 to 190 from Boston, MA

How did you find this if you don't mind me asking.

Joe's main website seems to be loading fine from Toronto, ON.

It looks like a serer was attacked on the hurricane electric side only the attack was several Gbps causing the network packet loss. I have already null routed the ips through cogent and HE and everything is back to normal now.

Yes! My server speed is back to normal. As always, great and fast support from Joes.

Hahaha.. Joe with his lightning fast speed saves the day...

Thank's Joe for the update, especially for the reply in the support ticket!
