UltraHoster.co.uk is down?
Posted by Tilen, 10-11-2010, 08:06 AM |
Hello, everyone.
I noticed today that none of my websites, hosted at UltraHoster.co.uk is working. I can't login to my WHM and their own website (UltraHoster.co.uk) is not working either.
Anyone else noticed that? Does any of the employees at UltraHoster maybe account here at WHT?
I haven't recieved any warning or announcement regarding some kind of server-upgrade or anything similar that would demand some downtime?
Regards,
Tilen |

Looks like their website and both nameservers are all hosted on one server at BurstNET, and all showing as unreachable. Other IPs close to theirs are working fine, so it's unlikely to be a problem at BurstNET - I'd guess that their server is down or suspended.
I did a whois to see if there was any contact information but they have:
Quote:
Registrant's address:
The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service.
|
which is just plain naughty.
Sorry I can't be of much help - Hopefully it's just a temporary issue and they'll be back soon. Good luck. |

Hmmm...
Unless they opened a new account I'm not aware of, they haven't been with us since April. I'd need a ticket opened with us that has your hostname and IP for us to look into this further. |

Hmmm indeed!
From whois ....
Name servers:
ns1.ultrahoster.org.uk 66.197.215.38
ns2.ultrahoster.org.uk 66.197.215.39
Main site: 66.197.215.40
Looks like they've gone AWOL.
At least it's definitely not a BurstNET issue now! |

Dear All,
Since this morning we had a rather big issue affecting us.
Our provider just disappeared and took our servers offline. We've been endlessly trying to contact them, but no success. We have gone directly to the datacenter who powered up our provider, who provided the services for us, and have asked them to re-initiate our servers. Yes Burst.net.
We're still waiting for this to be resolved. We send out the highest apologies to everyone affected and want them to understand that we really are doing the best we can to sort this problem out.
We will keep everyone posted here. |

An update to all:
Ultrahoster stopped working with us back in April. The details shall remain between us and them.
Ultrahoster then started working with one of our resellers, namely 2AM network, which a quick search of WHT will show they went belly up and ran away.
Ultrahoster has contacted me, and we'll see if we can't get everything cleared up. |

Ultrahoster should be back online before the end of day today, or at the very latest tomorrow morning. Please be sure to blame 2AM networks for this, and not Ultrahoster. |

We're back up. All customers will be sent emails with details and compensation arrangements.
Thank you very much BurstNet! |
