Semoweb???

Posted by NEWISP, 10-08-2010, 01:13 PM
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but all our sites and email have been down since 8:30 AM EST. No answer at any of the support #'s and no response from email support.

Since this is where we saw the promotion I figured I would post this here.

Thanks,
NEWISP

Hello newisp.

SemoWeb seems to be online, with no problems... Can you post up your domain and your IP so that we could run some quick checks to see if the server is offline or if it is just your accounts?

Best.
Alex

Hello Alex,

Try antennaman.tv. This is one of the domains I just did a website over for.

Thanks,

The sites are now up and I can get into control panel but there are still errors in some of the features. I guess that will get worked out soon also.

Thank you all for your quick responses,
NEWISP

It happens to us all but the lack of response was the most disturbing part of the whole situation. We did finally hear from support but that was a long time to go without any kind of response.

Thanks,
NEWISP

Hello NEWISP.

Works from here...

Where are you loading the website from? It may be an issue with some bandwidth providers.
These kind of issues can lead for 24-48hours of disruption...
The ping time is a little slow from here... (UK)

It seems that everything on the domain was setup correctly. DNS looks decent. Server basic settings are good...

Try contacting them again, maybe they will be able to tell you what is wrong, if you keep trying to get in touch with them?

Best.
Alex

This is a follow up as to why server 9 had it's outage earlier this morning. Earlier this morning around 8AM PST the server was undergoing heavy floody attacks from Germany. This caused the server to become inaccessible during this time. The server was rebooted and we have had our DataCenter technitians place a hardware firewall in place for our dedicated server. This will prevent any further issues from effecting your service. In addition to the outage it also caused a few software applications to break and not function properly. We have manually compiled php/apache with a previous build to bring the sites effected back online.

Everyone's site at this time should now be running and back online. You have Semoweb's sincerest apologies for this outage and we will do our best to prevent this from happening in the future. If you have any questions please contact support(at)semoweb.com alternatively you can login from the client area https://www.semoweb.com/billing/clientarea.php and submit a ticket directly to our help desk.

Thank you!

Hello,

This server is a shared server, our corporate site is hosted away from our clients so it was not a direct target at SemoWeb.

Thank you,

Dustin
