Sorry for the downtime, unfortunately We have an ongoing issue with the network connectivity @ Hetzner in Germany.

Posted by Sajtxl, 10-03-2010, 03:05 PM
Down again, more than one hour, no info on there site?

Note that we experience problems with our XEN nodes with Hetzner in Germany.

Our customers on nodes in US and UK does not experience any downtime.

We used many resources to get things work and managed to run XEN on Hetzner servers.

We have quit taking new orders for XEN in Germany for good.

Hetzner does not support bridged networking which makes it complicated or near impossible to operate XEN on their servers.
Hetzner provides subnets that are on a very different network than the main node server, this again with their routed network setup makes it difficiult to opereate XEN and XEN HVM especially Windows VPS's.

You can search WHT and find other provides experience network issues with Hetzner.

New European based XEN VPS's will be deployed in UK not Germany.

I am sorry for the downtime. We will have the server online soon.

Now it's down again....

And no update on Nordic VPS site !?

Posted by HUGOBLUE, 10-11-2010, 06:41 AM
We only experience problems with this single node inside a one of the houses at Hetzner! (They have multiple RACK houses with 10 - 20000 dedicated servers inside)

The server is not down AND your VPS is not down either!!

There is a basic network problem and we try to solve it.

What Node ?

Posted by rumbala, 10-12-2010, 04:35 PM
node: FRA03
XEN512

Posted by Sajtxl, 10-12-2010, 04:39 PM
I have a VPS on FRA03, have a short stop yesterday, but where up again after 30 - 40 minutes. what happens if you try to restart it from SolusVm?

Posted by rumbala, 10-12-2010, 04:47 PM
Just nothing e.g. (Request sent successfully).

I've tried to shutdown it, reboot it, boot it, even restore it from the 'Central backup' section in the Solus. Also when I try to login into the direct serial SSH console it's saying that the XEN container does not exist.

I've backup but I don't want to play with my data and try to reinstall the container. The last reply from the support was that the node has network problems and they will try to move it on another node. This was in Sunday, nice huh ?!

By the way the most strange thing is that I've client with other Nordic VPS on the same node, FRA03 node, and the server is working just fine.

Can somebody explain it Only 9 IP addrs. up than this node. The same network segment.

/J

"saying that the XEN container does not exist"
I think that they have moved it away to another node.

It has happened several times that support not responded to ticket on several days,
it feels a bit insecure.

Have you tried calling them? (+45) 70 14 18 46

Posted by rumbala, 10-12-2010, 05:01 PM
Sajtxl, first I want to thank you for your concern. And yes, I've tried to call them but divert is enabled on this number and it redirects me to another number and shoot me to a voice mail.
I'm located in Bulgaria, so I thought that it's from the mobile operator, but then I've tryed from the second Bulgarian mobile operator and even the third. No success with the calls to Nordic.

Again, thanks for the concern. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, otherwise, a lot of sleepless nights are waiting me behind the corner

/J
