Nettica Down?
Posted by grapple, 09-22-2010, 03:51 PM |
Hello:
I was wondering if anyone was having problems with their DNS with Nettica.com I can get to their website fine, but all of my websites show as down. I have tested it with a third party.
So far, Nettica.com hasnt responded to my emails.
Thanks,
Greg |

There is/was a massive outage at the network provider Global Crossing today. |

Their automated voice system says they are under DDOS attack. Funny thing, not all our hits are getting blocked. random, but quite a few. |

At some point today all 5 primary servers were down.
Later this afternoon one by one the servers started responding except for the last one: dns3.nettica.com. [64.94.136.13] which is still unresponsive.
Support has not responded either and I wonder if they even received the messages if their dns was affected as well.
Later,

Ah. thanks for the update. I think it may be safe to take dns3 out from the registrar / nameserver info, right? |

I was going to respond that yes that would help, but ran a test again and all 5 servers are up right now, so . . . No, no need to change anything . . . unless they go down again.
Hopefully not, keep you fingers crossed. |
