burst.net vePortal extremely slow on vserver10.hostnoc.net [66.96.241.93]

the vePortal web admin interface has been extremely slow for me intermittently since 9/16/2010 when I opened a ticket at burst.net; it is taking anywhere from 45 sec to several minutes just to log in or navigate from page to page; they checked the load on that node & said it was OK but the slowness persists & is driving me crazy; just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing similar issues. as of the time of this post, the issue is ongoing; thanks |

Is your VPS alright or is it just VEPortal acting up? |

First of all, this is not a network/provider outage, and does not belong here. his is a tech support issue, and they already responded to you. This does not change by you running to WHT and complaining.
There is nothing wrong with this node. It loads within seconds when tested.

Did you have the client run a tracert to see if its an out of datacenter issue? You can have a different connection from inside the datacenter than outside of the datacenter. It has happened to me before. |

@BurstNet - I wasn't complaining (although I'm well within my right to); I was just seeing if anyone else was experiencing similar issues; my thanks to Jamey B at burst.net who actually seemed to solve the problem for now; according to that person, the slowness was being caused by another customer on the same box running too many cron jobs - I thought a VPS system shouldn't allow one user to slow down the whole system; anyway it shouldn't have taken 3 days to identify the problem - especially given my notes in the ticket;
@ M Bacon - yes, I did several tracerts as requested and they were fine; the VPS was still running but it's performance was also affected; thanks |

I am glad that you got it sorted out then. |
