FDC down for anyone?

One of my server has been down since 1 hour ago, another down about 10 minutes ago but since have come back up.

Four of my servers rebooted 2 hours ago and one of them is having several connectivity issues. It's the 2nd time this month. Check your logs - mine do not show a clean reboot so I can only conclude it was a power fault. I no longer have faith in their fabricated UPS. Muppets.

Edit: What port have you got? I'm on 10gbps and only downloading at 30mb/s

You're on a 10gbps port? Is that 30mb/s total or single thread?

My server is back up now, there was a hardware issue with my server. I am on a 1gbps port pushing about 200mbits right now.

We weren't the only ones. An associate just received an email saying it was a hardware failure that occurred on his server (I've yet to receive mine) and had to be replaced - his downtime was about 40 minutes. For a company that doesn't hold spare hardware in stock, they magically fitted the several failed servers with another one that quickly? Please.

That was 3 threads totalled. It was intermittent but the connection speeds returned to normal peaking around 1gb/s after I made the edit.

I've found another provider closer to home who will guarantee a phone call the second there's downtime so I'm moving.

They said I had bad RAM, server was down about 1 hour. Another server I have is having connnection issues, it just have no internet connectivity sometimes for several minutes then returns to normal.

Is that 1 server or multiple at 1gb/s?
I can't seem to get higher than 400mbps on my server.

Our servers are up, seems like a very short outage.

That was 1 server. Are you downloading to or from your server?

Downloading from server. If you don't mind me asking, what hardware do you have for that server? Are you using Apache, Nginx, Lighttpd, LiteSpeed?

I've experienced connection problems that fixes itself in 30 or so seconds. If I were not working on my server at the time, I would not know about them since monitoring is at 5 minute intevals or even 1 minute intevals wouldn't detect those 30 seconds short connection issues.

I'm using standard stock hardware and apache, hiawatha and lighttpd - downloads from all 3 are fine but I've still put in a request to cancel.

I've never made a wrong decision before so I would advise you to get out of there as soon as you can before you or your companys reputation are affected. These companies only have a few customers that keep them going, after my associate and I leave, they will be very much out of pocket. We've seen their *area in the* data centre and majority of their customers are on smaller packages. Besides, the downtime violated their 100% uptime guarantee. If you would rather stay be sure to ask for some form of reimbursement. I have 1 small dedicated server with a UK based company called melbourne and it's been running ever since june.

Edit: Hope that helps
