Leaseweb Down

Posted by CretaForce, 08-27-2010, 04:54 AM
Is everything at Leaseweb down?

Posted by matador, 08-27-2010, 04:55 AM
Seems so !

I was just coming in to create a post, but guess not enough posts or something. (To have access to do so).

I thought they were multi-homed.

Must be really bad, cannot even access their website or anything.

All of our equipment at Leaseweb is down including our networking gear. It looks like Leaseweb lost power or something nasty. Their whole IP space dropped off the net. Going to be calling them shortly.

Right, it looks like related to the network. None of the DNS resolver of leaseweb is responding!

Trace to my server @ LW from another in Montreal (Going over Level3).

11 leaseweb-crs-evo.Amsterdam1.Level3.net (212.72.33.94) 85.288 ms 85.965 ms 85.522 ms
12 62.212.95.130 (62.212.95.130) 85.725 ms 85.959 ms 86.407 ms

Trace from another server on West Coast USA, goes over Nlayer to CW.
11 fiberring-gw2.amd.cw.net (208.173.209.74) 165.152 ms 165.675 ms 165.316 ms
12 62.212.95.130 (62.212.95.130) 164.809 ms 164.629 ms 165.336 ms
13 * * *

This seems really out of character for LW.

Can you tell me their phone number? Possible their number will be down too if it's voip.

LW had announced earlier this morning that they had problems at EVO Switch - seems it has spread. They will resolve it quickly - they always do.

They usually do respond quickly, but all recent outages haven't had the scope of this one.

Sadly no, I do not have the number as it would turn out.

I called support just now. They confirmed a power outage as the culprit. Also they are back online, and none of my servers appear to have lost power.

Posted by CretaForce, 08-27-2010, 05:13 AM
OK servers are up again.

Posted by mikees, 08-27-2010, 05:14 AM
Yes! It's back.
Do you know the downtime ?

I dont get this. Our servers ok for power, but actual routers, etc.. lost it ?

<scratches head>

Actually, not a power outage. It appears to have been a problem outside our network. We are investigating now.

So why have you given wrong information to your clients?

Posted by thunderstorm, 09-13-2010, 02:21 AM
leaseweb answer please. i'am your customer and really i'am not satisfied with what i'am getting and there are trials and errors everytime i ask for something. looking forward to cancel my sever and waiting for my refund now. only 2 days i purchased the server and it is not meeting my requirement and support is not even responding to me either.

If you need any information please pm me.

Unfortunately, as much as we like WHT it is not our support queue. You will need to email support to resolve any issues with your server. Please note your server is unmanaged, so we can only provide support on hardware issues.

Network is fine and is not down and has been perfectly fine, contrary to your statement.

ok thank you. just got my reply from administration and i'am sorting with them my requirements and the payment fee i can afford to pay.

I know leaseweb network is good. but my complain was the requirement was not matching but anywayz i think the purpose of my server is email server so the requirement i needed 64 bit was not needed actually.

Have a great day

Thank you
