Netdirekt down from uk

Posted by DigitalDaz, 08-16-2010, 03:54 PM
Just got a server with netdirekt and wondered if I am just unlucky tonight.

I have had the server credentials less than five hours and am getting about 8% packet loss from the UK and now I can neither access my server or their website.

Is this a one off, or is this the quality of service I can expect?

TIA

Have you tried to contact them about your issue?

Anyone else having problems ?, pretty sure there was problems last week or so as well.

Looking for who is responsible for root zone and followed j.root-servers.net.
Looking for who is responsible for de and followed z.nic.de.
Looking for who is responsible for netdirekt.de and followed ns9.dnspro.de.
Nameservers for netdirekt.de:

ns10.dnspro.de returned (SERVFAIL)
quart.dnspro.de returned (SERVFAIL)
tert.dnspro.de returned (SERVFAIL)
ns9.dnspro.de returned (SERVFAIL)

Cheers,

Their website looks down from here too.
My server is down including many other major websites I know hosted in netdirekt data center.

down from norway and US too

Yikes! Is this localized to problems within 1 datacenter, or is this a more general backbone outage?

Posted by LDHosting, 08-16-2010, 04:18 PM
Same here, looks like they're down from most locations at the moment

Definitely, not their datacenter, I am on their website now, and my server, proxying the connection through ovh in france.

A traceroute from the UK doesn't give me any hops at all that are not *** except my local ones

Posted by AL-Kateb, 08-16-2010, 04:28 PM
It's down for me as well, i hope we will at least hear from them soon.

anybody tried to call them?

I just got this via email

Quote:
Dear customers,

at the moment we are having network problems.
We have to excuse the circumstances that are
caused by this issue. At the moment our
network technicians are working under
high pressure to fix that problem.

Thank's for this guys

We've just saw this now.

Could anyone link me with any prior issue's if this happens a lot?

Just suddenly gone down grr.

Over the last couple of day's we've noticed slow-down's on the upload speeds. on there GIGA Switches they said they've submitted temporary FIX for the issue's increasing the upload by 1MB'S Per Second. they did say there was going to be a slight disconnect.

Posted by xeno007, 08-16-2010, 05:21 PM
It looks like they are back. Right?

Posted by YazuHost, 08-16-2010, 05:25 PM
My servers are up.

Posted by SCVPS-Steve, 08-16-2010, 05:29 PM

Everything looking googd here and I no longer have the packet loss.

As an extra bonus Proxmox just works in bridge mode, brilliant

One Upstream was down.

Mit freundlichen Grüssen / Best regards

In that case, they have only one upstream in the DC since the complete DC was down

Hello,

Not there whole datacenter was down.

Posted by IC3 Networks, 08-16-2010, 07:20 PM
Problem is solved.
My server is back online.
Oh and there is a significant increase in the speed from the server to USA.
I had a serious problem yesterday with the speed to fdc, but now it's perfect.
