Where are you pinging from, usa or europe ? Leave ping running for at least 100 tries and post results .. |
Posted by softshop011, 08-01-2010, 06:17 AM |
Latency has gone up as well, average latency from europe server was 38ms and now its 104, theres obviously something seriously wrong with their network .. US latency up as well, from 140 to 197! |

Also getting packet less here, and 103ms latency.
Tracert shows the problem is on their network. |

0% packet loss here with 83ms latency
0% packet loss here with 99ms latency
0% packet loss here with 103ms latency
50% packet loss here with 98ms latency
Seems they are having some issues with the network |

Surely something going on there; where i normally have a latency of 25-30ms its now almost 90ms. Also indeed get a lot of packed loss. But usually i just send in a ticket for them to ask what is going on, so i just did that
Ping statistics for 213.133.107.227:
Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 90, Lost = 10 (10% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 85ms, Maximum = 107ms, Average = 88ms
Fortunately we do not use their network for our clients. |

You could call them if its urgent for you; as i said we don't have clients in their network so i don't have big issues with this, its just a minor inconvenience, although if you have customers complaining i would certainly give them a ring to ask what is going on and a ETA on when it will be solved. |

Anyways; i see the ping is currently pack to 27ms and so far no package dropped; so i believe they are working on it; or whatever was wrong did stop giving problems. |

Just for the information; just seconds after the issue was fixed i received the following reply from their tech support:
Quote:
there seems to be an issue with the backbone connection from DC10/11/12 to Frankfurt.
Our network department is heavily working on this and we expect this to be fixed
in the next few minutes.
|
And that ticket reply came only 15 minutes after our initial ticket. |

Could be i was lucky, or they where all working on it and didnt update the tickets (although that would be the best to solve the issue the fastest, it is also really bad to leave customers in the dark). |
