Hi,
Anyone hosted or reseller at opticgrid.com? I have a reseller account there, and I'm think I'm getting nuts, because the server is down for more than 10 hours and I can't reach the owner... |

Never heard of them, and their site is indeed not reachable.
Have you tried calling the number which is listed in the whois? http://whois.domaintools.com/opticgrid.com
Same number is on their Twitter page: http://twitter.com/OpticGrid
But nothing mentioned there though.
Edit: as far as I can tell, they seem to be hosted by Softlayer. If all else fails, perhaps you can check there as well.
Another edit: I see they have a representative on WHT as well: JcLusso |

I tried to call the phone number, but no answer... I also got in contact with softlayer (which is the provider of their servers) but they won't reveal me any information because is against they privacy policy.
I don't know what to do.... |

Did they tell you what the problem was/is? |
Posted by km01, 06-22-2010, 05:16 AM |
this is it:
Quote:
We had some issues on the master vps node. There were some filesystem issues, which then caused further issues with restoring file permissions and ownership to each vps. However, all of the issues are now resolved and a systematic restoration is taking place. If you have any more questions, please ask away.

Thier main site is UP, but other sites not. They claim to work on issue, but i'm start thinking they'll never finish... |

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad experience with them. I think they are still working on the issue. It's sad when you are not getting any reply for so long. Try contacting them and ask how long would it take. |

Make sure you request a credit for the downtime.
Although it's just a service credit, and you may want to move on. |

KM01 Please open a support ticket so we can properly credit your account for the downtime. Also anyone else that experienced downtime as eligible for an SLA credit. |

Thank you Jarret. No need for credit this time. I'll be happiest if this won't happen again.
