Steadcom Down Again
Posted by Sems, 06-11-2010, 06:26 PM |
It feels like every month they are experiencing down times. All my IPs are inaccessible at the moment, I can't resolve even steadcom.com on the DNS.
Makes you wonder what has happened this time, yet another overheated core switch? |

Yup, down for me as well... again. And there's no point emailing em' cus their site's down as well.
It's a shame since their server performance has been rock solid. |

Tried to chat with Andrew Neill over Yahoo Messenger, no replies. Time to look for a different Windows host |

Yup, they just came back on a few minutes ago. Time to open a ticket with them as their site is back online as well. |

I guess some servers are not up yet. I was able connect to my vps as well as their web site. @51fnet, can you reach to Steadcom.com site at least? |

i can reach to steadcom.com
i submit a ticket, but no reply. |

They might have a separate issue. When my VPS was up, it was back where I left it, so it looked like a network issue. I haven't received any explanations or responses yet either, other than a automated reply. You can try to PM Andrew's WHT account, see:

Wow, what a convincing reply from SteadCom:
"Unfortunately you are the only one who has been complaining about the network outages. Could you attach the MRTG graph again? Also how long did you experience this outage?
Sincerely,
Andrew Neill (Europe Based)
Technical Support / System Administrator
Steadcom Internet Services
"
Instead of acknowledging something went down again, blaming it on the end user. Funny thing, at the May's outage, they didn't try to blame it on me, they accepted it as a overheating core switch issue (you'd think they'll have some redundancy). |
