Ubiquity offline?
Posted by serverFFS, 05-05-2010, 04:30 PM |
My servers in Chicago and their site itself seems to be unavailable to me from many locations. |

All of our stuff in Ubiquity Chicago is down... Their site/ubersmith/support desk is also all down.
I checked www.ubiquitystatus.com and all of their VZ boxes in Chi are marked as down as well.
Anyone heard anything from them? |

It must be isolated to Chicago. My server in New York with them is up and fine |

We are back online! |

One server came back online, other one still offline.
Uptime is the same so it's network related. |

Everything that isn't back up should be back up in the next minute or so. I'll leave the official statements to my superiors, but I believe it had something to do with an edge router. |

I just noticed we never followed up here. There was an RFO posted later for this hiccup in Chicago on 5/5:

In short, there were simply issues with one of our distribution layer switches. All traffic was pushed over to a redundant module and service resumed as normal shortly following. We're very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. |
