Interhost.co.uk down?
Posted by ntht_pk, 02-22-2010, 05:37 AM |
I have 4 linux VPSs and 1 Windows VPS with interhost.co.uk (also known as velox.co.uk). All are inaccessible as of writing and have been so for ~6 hours. Does anyone have similar issues? |

Their website seems not reachable, too. |

I have 2 VPS with INTERHOST since 2007, and both VPS are down since last night, more than 8 hours!!!. But in the last weeks I have suffered issues with the VPS since some months ago, but this is horrible!!!! I am loosing a lot of money with this problem of Interhost. Also I have to tell that the support ticketing system is very bad, they dont usually answer the tickets. I will have to find another alternative in UK for my VPS , Any ideas? |

Support is a tricky business with Interhost. Its a one-man show I think, run by Mark Lovick. He's good and all, and usually gets things solved, though it tends to take a while. This time it seems serious though. I've had a bunch of VPS hacked and used for spamming recently. Not sure if that was me not staying on top of things, but it has been nearly impossible to keep the spammers out. I'm moving all my stuff over to elastichosts, a UK based cloud hosting provider. Gives me the control I need, for less. Also, a bigger company so I expect support to improve. So far they've been decent. They also have a great 'downtime guarantee' giving you 100x credits for any downtime (which recently did happen to me; a broken power supply kept my node down for 6-7 hours). No one's perfect I guess. But its impossible to reach Interhost now since even their own site seems affected! |

My VPSs are also up now. I received an email from Interhost saying they had some router issues. |
