Anyone else having problems?

All our servers just went down, and their websites down to.

Sorry from my understanding sharedlayer.com appears to be down for BlueShoreHost... atleast the way he mentioned it...

Posted by FractionHost, 01-28-2010, 09:53 PM
Now their site is up, they're in Colo Guys. They host their site somewhere else.

I have a server with ColoGuys and yeah it went down at ~7:55pm Eastern. Looks like it just came back online though.

Seems like everything went back up from Traceroutes.

When we hosted at Cologuys these types of things weren't uncommon.

They advertised their network capacity at twice what it really was. When hiccups occurred it usually overloaded everything and the network would take a bit to situate itself since things obviously aren't configured as they should be.

I've seen quite a few Cologuys related downtimes posted in the outages section recently but never see a follow-up on it. Not a customer anymore, but was and the reasons we were always provided were due to their network running a muck on itself.

We've been with ColoGuys for approx 1 year and have many servers with them. Outages are VERY rare...in fact I cant remember the last time we had an outage.

Same, I've had several servers with them since early 2007, and aside from when they switched datacenters earlier this month (?) without telling anyone (Somewhat Odd) I can only think of one other real outage. It was more than a year ago.

ColoGuys really has been an awesome provider.

There is something up with Dallas. I can get to Cologuys via Comcast to TWTC, or Softlayer via direct Comcast peering -- but I can't get to sites like www.bankofamerica.com
