OpenDNS Issues (UK)?

Posted by CI-Theo, 01-10-2010, 12:44 PM
Is it me, or are some sites failing to resolve for OpenDNS users in the UK? I've just switched to Google's Public DNS system, but a few minutes ago sites suddenly stopped resolving - which was odd.

If you're in the same situation, http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ may be a good alternative. According to their site:-

"Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers"

The OpenDNS site doesn't seem to be showing any system issues right now, so I've posted the incident here just in case anyone else has just gone through hell!
