Secureservertech Down?
Posted by CostelVision, 12-15-2009, 12:30 PM |
Hello world,
anyone else having problems with secureservertech?
Recently Mr Felosi sold the website to a company called: blacklotus.net
I spoke to blacklotus regarding this and got bad news, i DO NOT want to disclose any information yet but just want to ask other users if they're facing the same problems?
Thanks for your help. |

This is a pretty wide spread problem. We purchased the company from Jon Felosi who was under contract to facilitate a migration to Black Lotus.
Instead he took the money and disappeared (presumably due to medical issues) and now we're left holding the bag trying to salvage his customers while many (the offshore ones) are left out to dry. |

Hey Jeff,
please do not misunderstand this, i DO NOT have any problems with blacklotus at all, infact they helped me very well and answered every ticket opened by me/my friends, thumbs up.
They provided support and help the way you would expect mr Felosi to but unfortunately he didn't.
Regards, |

We would like to have access to our sites as well. We don't not care about the money. Please pm. |

I contacted Ecatel. They put the server back up for a few hours so we could retrieve our database. You might try that. |

Had they already put up the servers back online? |

Through a series of emails with them I was able to get with someone who understood the situation and agreed to put my site back up long enough to do what I needed to do. That was done yesterday and we downloaded our database. |

You were a customer of SST, some customer's data was lost by SST during the migration.
You were one of those customers. It's very unfortunate, and we're willing to sell your our hosting plans, but we don't have your data.

You purchased SST from Jon Felosi. I have a contract with SST for web hosting. Are you picking and choosing at random the customers that will now receive service? |

Got my answer. Black Lotus hung up on me. |

Jon Felosi failed to properly migrate the customer base as he was contractually obligated. This left many customers in the dark and we only have access to some of the servers.
I can assure you no one hung up on you but I will say our call volume is extremely high right now as a result of the events that have transpired. I ask that you assist us in sorting priority and leaving the phone lines open for emergencies wherever possible by e-mailing your request as a ticket and it will be responded to promptly.
Our support e-mail is support@blacklotus.net . |

Are you willing to refund our money? I have a copy of the contract. If some customers are being "migrated" it looks like some people are having hosting contract honored. |

If the payment you made was to sales@blacklotus.net , then yes, otherwise your dispute is with Felosi. |

The Offshore portion of secure server tech was not acquired by Black Lotus communications. For support or issues with that you need to contact the previous proprietor.
Thanks,

Hello,
We're not affiliated with "amsterdam servers/hosting" from secure servertech "sst" and you will have to contact the previous proprietor of SST, Jon Felosi.

I have a contract with SecureServerTech. You purchased them. The man on the phone DID hang up on me. I called at 6:53 pm est today. He hung up on me one minute and thirty nine seconds into the call. If I could show a screen shot of my cell phone I would. |

My dispute is with SecureServerTech. Do you or do you not own the company that quite a few of us have contracts with? |
Posted by IRCCo Jeff, 12-29-2009, 11:16 PM |
I believe this may have been your phone call timestamp: 12/29/2009 3:51:04 PM . I just Q/A that call, Service Team associate Robert answered and explained that we have never had access to the Amsterdam servers. You asked him a question, he followed up with a response, and then there was an extended period of dead air. He replied once more with "Hello?" and again negative response before the call was terminated.
Allow me to clarify one item, SecureServerTech is not a company nor is it a legal trade name. Felosi never registered it anywhere and actually never paid any taxes. It does not exist anywhere in law so it cannot be acquired as an entity.
Our contract with Felosi required him to give us his domain names and transfer the customers to us. He is mostly in default of this contract as we were not given access to a majority of the customers. Pretty much everyone is a victim in this not including Felosi who walked away from his obligations cash in hand. |

hello,
Please sent me a PM, maybe we can help you. thanks. |

If SST had a previous proprietor, then clearly it was (and is!) an entity that can be (and was!) acquired. So, Jeff, who's lying -- you, or your Support staff? |

I am downloading my backup right now it is %40 and hopefully nothing will happen , I am really shocked and surprised after years felosi leaving us like that , I first thought it can be a medical thing or maybe he is on holiday since it was xmas and new year but then from here I learned that he sold it to black lotus ... felosi I am really sad ... but thanks to black lotus for letting me have my back up. |

A proprietor is an individual who operates a business for themselves. This does not make it a separate entity.
Please do not try to twist our words, we've done everything we can to help those who have been victimized but can only do so much with the one person with the power to help decided to abandon his obligations. |

Maybe you should have researched the person you were making a contract with?
A quick google search will show you that Jon Felosi is a troublemaker.
I've had my own personal experiences with him attacking sites of mine and then offering his "services".
I've also had my own personal experiences with him stealing domain names of people that I know and selling them to others.
Search on google and you'll find quite a few others have had the same exact experiences as me.
This guy is a thug and it's no wonder you got burned by him. |

You stated in another thread here that your contract with Felosi prohibits him from doing business for six years. Our dispute is with SST. A whois search now shows that you are SST. Clicking support on SST takes us to you. The phone number for SST is yours. |
Posted by IRCCo Jeff, 01-04-2010, 03:53 PM |
A WHOIS shows we own the domain names which are now redirected to our web site, the contact details you see are all those of Black Lotus.
SST does not exist and we compelled Felosi to sign a six year non-compete to keep it that way. Given my busy schedule as of late I recommend that you contact us through direct channels if you require any further assistance on this as my replies may be delayed. |

Well,
I signed just to say BIG THANKS to Blacklotus people.
My sites were hosted with SST, but thanks to Blacklotus the damage was limited to just few downtimes and not anything more serious.
The support I got from them was phenomenal! For example I've sent them almost 100 support messages in the last few weeks and always got timely reply and explanation of the situation.
Thanks again! |

Jon,
You know who this is, this is Jake with Express Revenue. I find it disappointing that I you conned my company over $2,500.00 the past month to pre-pay for a year of new hosting and expect a return. I thought I knew you for 3 years, but apparently I didnt.
I try to email you, you do not respond. You only respond maybe on my 5th email of the day. When I try to call your house number, nobody answers. When I called on a different area code/someone magically answered that sounded exactly like you but when I said who I was it was your brother and "he" hung up on me.
We need our site back up, and our money returned. At the very least, keep the money you stole and get me backups of our website. Hell, even a phone call would be nice. Get in contact with me so I know what the hell is going on. Dont ignore this post like you do my emails. GIVE ME A CALL.
Jake |

So when you FINALLY reply to me via email, you tell me that it is down due to a DMCA request. Not only did we comply with the request, but we gave a response back.
We also moved servers from that IP to a new one, but you claim it is still down because of that.
SO I took manners into my own hands and called softlayer. They said they responded to your ticket about NON-PAYMENT. They said the public ports have been closed due to non payment. ONCE IT IS PAID, IT WILL GO BACK LIVE they told me. Why did you lie? |
