VPS.net down again?!!?

Posted by amduk, 11-19-2009, 04:08 PM
So my vps.net account is down again!?

I have only been trialling them this month. The other day mine was one of 200 sites to go offline for a couple of hours and now it is offline again along with their own website! They looked so promising. Deary me. My hunt for superb reliability continues and am already trialling clustered.net after reading good things...

Can't get to their website, or my VPS...

vps.net you need to seperate your main site from your productions servers. that way if your main site gets attacked then you other servers won't go down.

the attack is not on the vps.net site itself

I honestly wouldnt be shocked if a cloud hosting competitor was causing the attack. "cloud" Business is heating up the way vps did last year.

Large DDOS attack on one of three vps.net locations, their senior techs working on it now.

Usually if its just some kid messing around with a botnet or the likes of. They usually target one site. But going back with what I said it makes more sense with it being largely distributed. I hope you guys get things resolved.
