SoftLayer Dallas Down? Can't reach Softlayer.com either

I can't seem to get to softlayer.com or any of my servers... anybody else having issues?

I was able to verify from several locations that it was down (and with the help of some friends) but it seems to be back online now...

Wonder what happened to cause the entire network to go down.

This must be a first Although 1-5 minutes of downtime isnt exactly terrible.

I wasn't saying it was terrible - I posted before it came back up and wanted to make sure I wasn't losing my mind

Somewhere around 2~3 minutes - long enough for our external monitoring to notify us which waits around 2 minutes - and then long enough past that for me to run some checks myself.

It all appears to be back up but I wonder what happened.

It's working now but the internal dns/resolvers are not working now... The response I got in my ticket was ... less than helpful.

"There was a short networking issue that we are aware of which should now be corrected. Please verify that you are now able to access your servers."

They said to wait for the RFO so I guess what other choice do I have?

Well, at least the accept the problem to you, I provided to them 4 traceroute showing how there's a problem from many locations and they still deny it on the ticket.
