hostquack down

Posted by starline, 01-09-2010, 03:26 AM
hostquack is down with all hosted accounts. any body knows reason?

Posted by JLHC, 01-09-2010, 03:37 AM
Well DownForEveryOneOrJustMe.com states that they are up but Host-Tracker states that they are down. Their website doesn't seem to be loading from here but it is pingable. EDIT: Their website seem to be loading now but very slowly, maybe due to high server load. Is your website hosted on the same server as their main website?

Posted by starline, 01-09-2010, 05:04 AM
i can't access their site or client area.. any one from hostquack here?

Posted by UnderHost, 01-09-2010, 09:50 AM
It seem to be back online, you should contact them to know what going on.

Posted by starline, 01-09-2010, 09:30 PM
its gone down again.. They say they never had down time

Posted by AppKoders, 01-09-2010, 09:33 PM
Before when they have not merged with IGX I never experienced down times but after they merged the server is soooooooooooooo sloooow always receives that 5xx error...

Posted by JLHC, 01-09-2010, 11:06 PM
Yes it seem like it went down again: Host-Tracker.com One thing weird is that DownForEveryOneOrJustMe.com still show it as up, maybe just because the server is still accepting pings.

yes. the server is still pingable.

really a horrible deal made by igxhost by selling its shared & reseller business to some kiddy host who sent their whole client list in email..slow servers and now this.. totally mismanagement by host 'quack' and no concern for its clients by igxhost. igxhost should have been more careful and diligent in its sale of its accounts but it did not do it..

Posted by JLHC, 01-10-2010, 07:14 AM
I agree with your statement. Sad to see that such issues happen time and again after the sale. Anyway, the website still seem to be down: Host-Tracker.com P/S: They seem to be hosted by WiredTree (at least their main site is), which is a managed provider but it seem like this issue is not resolved yet.

Posted by starline, 01-10-2010, 08:06 AM
i wonder what quality of hosting wiredtree provides!

Posted by Jacob Wall, 01-10-2010, 12:35 PM
Wiredtree is a wonderful company - very respected here on WHT. It's not an issue with Wiredtree, probably just an abusive user that is using Hostquacks services.

It's still offline? Been 24 hours or so? Scary, they should atleast be communicating with their customers.

Posted by UnderHost, 01-10-2010, 01:41 PM
it's seem still down, bagpiper and calamine no one replied you yet?

Posted by JLHC, 01-10-2010, 07:15 PM
Well as far as I can see WiredTree does provide Proactive Monitoring, but this issue doesn't seem to be resolved by them yet.

Not good Try this support@hostquack.com

Posted by JLHC, 01-11-2010, 04:21 AM
Well I am not a client of them so I suppose the clients should email them instead. Just trying to help them out here. One advise for all of HQ's clients, backup all of your files and database immediately!

I understand and that advice is good but should everyone do it no matter who's client they are.
