Posted by tabish, 07-09-2006, 08:09 AM
Hello all, Reseller zoom is down for more than one hour.. I sent mail to their so called 24*7 customer supporting.. but i think they are busy in supporting their harddisks.. Anyway no reply from them.. even i didnt get any Schedule maintenence notification from their site.. First databse went down.. i thouhg it is crashed.. and then all the reseller accoutnt went down.. I am posting this situation here because .. i know after 3 hours i will get reply from their support team saying.. everything is running fine.. So you guys can see their service by yourself.. They are unable to maintain their services and they keep seeling their reseller accounts.. Beware guys. Regards

I think you mean that the server you are on is down, not all of Resellerzoom. Which server are you on because there is a message about haskell having been rebooted and performing fsck

Just your server is down. A site I'm helping to build is still up, it's on Japan at RZ. Do all you can to see if the server is really down and see if any other sites on the server are down. But don't come here and proclaim that RZ is a crap host because one server went down unexpectedly. Even the best system has its bad moments. There are always two sides to the coin, tell us what RZ has to say about it. Edit: And oh, btw, if the webstie in your profile is the one on RZ's "down" server... it's up now.

webwalas.com is hosted at ServInt, not at NAC with RZ.

Who told you i am talking about WebWalas? How can you pretend things by your own? My servers at reseller is still down.. no reply yet..We have 11 reseller accounts with reseller zoom. Their site server seems up but database server is still down... Reslly.. reseller zoom sucks.. we are looking for the better option if anybody is offering here any package like reseller zoom.

What is a domain that you have hosted with them?

Posted by tabish, 07-09-2006, 10:17 AM
We can not reveal the domains.. sorry. We are planning to take some action gainst them.. no reply for more than 4 hours.. Are they dead??

You can reveal the servername right? Is it Haskell?

Posted by layer0, 07-09-2006, 11:10 AM
Who told you I was referring to your post? I'm not pretending anything, despite your ignorant claims. My post was in response to "AdmiralSpock", NOT you. Get your facts straight.

That makes your review of their services completely invalid. Nobody here has proof that you have hosted with RZ. If you are seriously want to remain anonymous, at the very least do let the moderators of this forum know the domain you host with them. http://webhostingtalk.com/helpdesk/ Have you read their Terms of Service? If not, then you've got some reading to do! http://www.resellerzoom.com/tos.shtml It's VERY likely that ResellerZoom, like many other hosts, have a clause in their Terms of Service that they are not to be held liable for any effects downtime may have on your business' operations. If they have an uptime SLA, then they will have to give you credits per that, but if they don't then you're out of luck. Now as you see, threatening to sue or take legal action (or whatever rediculous think you were wanting to do) is not a good idea.

Few account is on Haskell and Few accounts are on Hunt .. Still down..

Posted by tabish, 07-09-2006, 11:37 AM
Yes i read their terms.. but what about their Claim about 24*7 customer support.. it's been almost 6 hours now.. and still no reply from their side.. Seems like you all are sailing in same boat and that is why you are supporting reseller zoom so much. I dont have any personal problem with anyone here.. I just tried to tell my problem here but i dont know why all of you are supporting reseller zoom .. Not a single reply in my support.

They may be busy fielding all the support tickets from people asking what's happening and when the server will be back online. And I don't think Layer0 was saying anything against you when he mentonned webwalas.com...he was just clarifying someone else's post above. As for needing a domain name, WHT rules ask you to submit a domain name to the moderating team (and as far as I know, not one of them ever leaked information) to validate your claims (review). It's nothing personal.

I don't even use reseller zoom, I run and manage my own servers...now look who's pretending things?

I was looking at Reseller Zoom because I am needing to buy another reseller account very soon. Would you all recommend Reseller Zoom to me? Or is it not even worth the trouble?

Posted by Til, 07-09-2006, 03:48 PM
As a client of resellerzoom you have access to their Forum and there you can see that there are problems with Haskell. Should be over now. I can't see anything about Hunt however. Did you contact Customer Support of Technical Support because CS is only available from monday to friday?

I had signed up for reseller zoom for a month to see if the grass is greener on the other side of the hill. From the moment I got into the forums there was nothing but discontent. Everytime I logged in there were complaints about outages and lack of communication. They say that they dont delete posts and that angry people post more than then happy clients. While I never had any problems the month I was there, I canceled and decided to stick with my current host. There was just too many unhappy people there from what saw. If you want to see an helpful community take a look at totalchoice hostings forums (you dont have to be a member to view the forums). Even if continue on with resellerzoom, I wouldnt have moved my TCH account. I guess the bottom line is that the grass is greener where you water. Ill be sticking with TCH and their friendly environment (not to mention reliable service)

People can be unhappy even though an issue was all their own fault, too. I've seen this on many occassions. To ResellerZoom's credit, they are a very large company, and they are correct in stating that angry customers are a lot more vocal than happy customers. But surely if they are still in business a decent chunk (if not a majority) of their customers are very happy with ResellerZoom. Considering ResellerZoom is a budget provider, and by no means to be considered "premium", this seems just fine to me.

This thread serves no useful information pertaining to an outage. If you wish to review them or whatever, you can do so in the appropriate Main Forum, but not here. Thread closed.
