BURST / Nocster: cogent & yipes down.

We're unable to reach our DNS server located at burst via their Cogent or Yipes(Level3) links, traffic appears to flow via pccw/btn as thats where dnsstuff traces in on.
However, nothing else appears to be live
more of the usual burst outages.

Went down about 5 - 7 mins ago. Forums.burst.net, which were supposed to be hosted on an outside network, are dead too.

Have either of you opened a ticket with us with traceroutes?
Also, we have never stated that we keep our forums on another network.

How can I open a ticket? I can't reach burst.net, so my mail wouldn't go through.
Connections to my servers at burst are failing at yipes.com.

If I remember correct, BurstCEO promised to move your support forums out of the burst network due to frequent outages - no longer thatn a month or two ago. Sorry, have no time to search through this very forum to find his original post... maybe later.

Thanks for the information. It appears that some of our IPs were being dropped within Level3/Yipes network (ie: 66.96.192.201 seemed to not be reachable, while 66.96.192.200 was), probably due to the DDoS we were/are seeing. It looks liek this has been rectified within the last few minutes, as all of the looking glass locations for Level3 can now reach 66.96.192.201 - http://lookingglass.level3.net/trace...=66.96.192.201

It appears this was a problem mainly with Yipes/BtN have local capacity issues when this attack was going on full-force, with some leftover routing issues after the initial "blast" but, unfortunately, apparently the techs they have onsite at 5 AM on a saturday cannot identify what it was (although, magically, everything worked much better while I had them on the phone).
If anyone still has problems, please open a ticket at our help desk if possible. Thanks.
