Virpus Networks

Posted by BrandonSCSN, 07-06-2006, 11:44 PM
Effective ~ 8:00 PM EST, Virtuozzo host "virpus3" on Virpus Networks began to experience load issues on [what appears to be] the entire host. It does not currently seem to be limited to my personal VPS, but instead the entire system based off of the slow load of Virtuozzo even if I power down my VPS. Virpus Networks's technical support staff contacted me and alerted me the following: The server did appear to start working again, but it has since stopped again. At this time, it also appears that their helpdesk has gone down (https://myvirpus.com) due to unknown reasons, and that ticket replies are not being processed.

Virpusservers.com and Virupsnetworks.net are both beginning to have problems. I have noticed that both of these servers are on the same VPS host as customers -- virpus3. You can recongize this by visiting https://virpusservers.com:4643 and checking the SSL certificate. Their VPS I have seen it go up and down over the past few hours. MyVirpus.com is still not accessible. 1-877-4-VIRPUS returns nothing on the phone. The response I recieved from tech support came from a rep. at ActSupport!, a company which Virpus Networks outsources to for support. Nick or Ken has yet to respond to any of my recent tickets, including a billing ticket submitted over 24 hours ago. If you are a fellow customer of Virpus Networks, please respond to this thread. It is clear there is a problem here, and I am well aware that it is not just my system based off of the performance of the Virpus Networks website and also Virpus Servers. Also based off of VZPP performance. After over 8 hours of downtime, I will be asking for a FULL refund for this months hosting from Virpus. Last edited by BrandonSCSN; 07-07-2006 at 03:17 AM.
